Distribution and habitats
Anemonefish ar native to hotter waters of the Indian and Pacific oceans, as well as the nice coral reef and therefore the sea. whereas most species have restricted distributions, others ar widespread. Anemonefish live at very cheap of shallow seas in secure reefs or in shallow lagoons. There aren't any anemonefish within the Atlantic.
Diet
Anemonefish ar all-devouring and may kill undigested food from their host anemones, and therefore the feces from the anemonefish provides nutrients to the ocean anemone.
Anemonefish primarily kill little animal from the water column, like copepods and chordate larvae, with alittle portion of their diet returning from protoctist, with the exception of Amphiprion perideraion, that primarily feeds on protoctist. they will conjointly consume the tentacles of their host anemone.
